Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain an up to date database of suppliers for locally sourced products and services.
- Foster, build and grow meaningful relations with key suppliers.
- Order parts from approved suppliers and in line with business requirements and standards.
- Manage all the documentation and record keeping related to the sections activities.
- Manage, monitor and coordinate the availability of materials to avoid shortages out or overstocking.
- Manage the performance of the warehouse team
- In charge of periodic physical stock taking in liaison with the concerned departments.
- Responsible for supervising the stores team to ensure timely order release and in the right quantity.
- Responsible for verification of material quantities before signing of the Goods Received Notes.
- Responsible for timely submission of periodic reports.
- Maintain control over all internal and external material dispatch and systems.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate should hold a good Bachelor’s Degree – Procurement, Supply, Chain Management or Business related field.
- A minimum of four or more years’ experience in a senior stores management position, with a verifiable track record in inventory management
- Strong strategic skills and proven leadership capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated, self-starter, high energy, positive and inspiring.
- Confident, self-assured, participative management style with ability to lead a strong team.
- Excellent communicator in both oral and written.
- Strong strategic and planning skis
