Biogas Solutions Uganda Ltd is
a private company limited by guarantee established in Uganda with the objective
to formulate, develop and set in motion strategies, policies, plans, measures,
systems and approaches that support private sector led biogas sector development
aimed at sustainable improvement of the livelihoods of rural and peri-urban
households in Uganda.
Job Summary: The
incumbent will primarily be responsible for all the Business Development and
Marketing functions. Develop and implement client- and result-driven business
models, marketing and branding strategies aimed at achieving optimal biogas
-technology and national brand- awareness and increased sales/ distribution of
biogas products and services in Uganda. The incumbent will work closely with
other team members to develop the company, its mission, brand and biogas sector
support programmes.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    ideal candidate should possess a BA in Business Economics, marketing or
    related discipline
  • Five
    or more years of relevant work experience in business development, sales
    and marketing in commercial and/ or social enterprise, experience in
    developing small to medium size enterprises and distribution channels in
    rural developing economies
  • Good
    working knowledge of climate- smart energy programmes, business modelling
    and entrepreneurship.
  • Relationships
    with large cooperatives and/or financial institutions in Uganda are a
