Job Summary: The Field
Sales Manager will oversee Lubricants Distributor Channel in the designated
trade areas through growth of Shell Lubricants brand penetration. The incumbent
will also maintain, develop and grow existing customers through increased
volume and margins whilst building strong relationships.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • Achieving
    targets on sales volumes & profitability targets within the defined
    customer base and trade area for all lubricants whilst managing direct
    costs.
  • Developing
    and maintaining account plans for all key distributor accounts with clear
    targets and objectives that will allow monitoring performance against
    plan.
  • Developing
    and implementing targeted channel Initiatives to grow sales.
  • Effectively
    managing commercial debtors to within agreed levels.
  • Identifying
    and pursuing new opportunities to grow trade and Cross/Up sell at all
    levels.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  
  • The
    candidate should ideally hold a Bachelors degree in Commerce, Engineering
    or Business Administration. Qualification in Marketing will be an added advantage.
  • At
    least three years relevant experience in sales and marketing in the oil
    Industry.
  • Good
    knowledge and understanding of marketing and ability to translate plans
    into action.
  • Sales
    experience with bottom line accountability and results delivery.
  • Strong
    selling and proven competence in negotiation.
  • Motivated
    and high standard of personal presentation.
  • Good
    communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Business
    Acumen and Marketing Spirit.
