- Identifying eligible offenders for
Community Service Orders - Conducting social inquiries and provide
courts with the relevant information to guide sentencing decisions. - Identifying placement institutions and
seek out opportunities for work projects that can enhance rehabilitation. - Following up offenders both at placement
institutions and home enhance compliance and provide psychosocial support
during and after sentence to foster the reintegration and rehabilitation
process. - Carrying out trainings and sensitization
of Stakeholders. - Offering technical support to
stakeholders. - Monitoring and evaluating community
service activities. - Ensuring all case management documentation
is complete, up to date and timely submission of returns on community
service orders. - Perform any other duties as may be
assigned from time to time.
Experience: The Probation and Welfare Officer should hold a Bachelor’s
Degree in either Law or Arts or Social Sciences or Social Work and Social
Administration (SWASA) or Administration or Management or any other Degree in
the field of Probation and Welfare or with Probation and Welfare as one of the
Course Units from a recognized University/Institution.

subsequently shortlisted for oral interviews shall be required to present
certified copies and originals of their academic transcripts and
