Job Summary: The Planning, M&E and Reporting Officers will be responsible for the coordination of the development and implementation of systems for Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation of all URCS’ Projects, document, share information and knowledge in line with URCS’ Planning and M&E Guidelines, the NS and branch Program Strategies and monitoring frameworks and systems.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Builds the capacity of staff in Participatory Planning Monitoring and Evaluation (PM&E) in line with the URCS’ Planning and M&E frameworks as well as new donor M&E requirements and the URCS Strategy.
  • Steers the development of Key performance Indicators and prepare the final KPI for the national and branch programmes in relation to the URCS Strategy and other project planning and performance indicators.
  • Support the coordination, development, implementation of midterm reviews of the Strategic Plan, programmes and projects.
  • Offers technical support and participate in the participatory planning and M&E for Units, Branches and Partners in line with URCS’ planning and M&E compliance requirements.
  • Provides technical support to the National Society and Branches and Partner National Societies’ (PNS) in monitoring, reporting and documentation in relation to key leanings, best practices, implementation, models, governance processes and impact realization.
  • Actively participates in the consolidation of strategic and periodic plans as well as corporate organization reports in line with planning and reporting processes.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant should ideally hold a good University degree in Statistics, Humanities/Development Studies or relevant discipline; Post graduate diploma in M&E is a plus;
  • Possession of three (3) years’ experience in similar position preferably from a busy organization
  • Skills and competencies in evidence based programming/Strategic Planning; Multi-donor reporting; M&E, PPM.
  • Proficiency in Approaches and Methodologies, Result Based Data/Gender and Power Analysis, Networking, Alliance building and Stakeholder Management, Budgeting and Budgetary Control will be a plus.
  • A system-oriented person with high sense of judgment, excellent communication and writing skills;
  • The applicant must be mature with high integrity and able to maintain confidentiality and approachable.
