Job Summary: The Trainers/Lecturers will be responsible for
the development, delivery and monitoring of relevant and evidence-based
training and education programmes aimed at building capacity of health care
providers to deliver quality care and support for people living with HIV and
other emerging health issues. S(he) will be expected to lead on one of the long
programmes and teach and assess students on both long and short term
programmes.

Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The Trainers must hold Master’s Degrees in
a health care related profession with at least 2 years teaching
experience. - Additional training in palliative care is
an added advantage. - The successful candidate must have knowledge
of HIV and other chronic illnesses as well as knowledge of current WHO and
MoH guidelines. - S/he must have Ability to mentor and
supervise students in both cognitive and practical skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills - Computer literacy i.e. Proficiency in
various MS office packages and working knowledge of English and local
language(s) are crucial. - Hard working, trust-worthy, and holding
the highest levels of integrity and confidentiality. Must be flexible,
reliable, - Ability to work under pressure; and in
sympathy with the Christian values of Mildmay Uganda. Evidence of a
non-judgemental approach regarding race, religion, culture, sexuality and
lifestyle is critical.
