tax returns are completed and accurate to minimize tax obligations. The
incumbent will also be in charge of tax planning in preparation for future
filings.
- Deliver
a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations
within timeframe - Forge
and grow existing relationships and interact with clients to provide
excellent planning, consulting and expertise - Identify
and mitigate tax risks - Oversee
tax provision and tax compliance process - Improve
processes by developing or implementing best practices - Manage
and coordinate tax audits - Prepare
all tax papers on regular basis and handle all information data requests - Support
NSSF in reaching its goals through audit, tax, advisory, risk assessment. - Provide
accurate interpretation of the tax laws. - Conduct
research on the implications of tax laws and advise management on tax
related issues. - Minimize
task risks associated with all transactions. - Develop
tax-saving strategies. - Responsible
for the reconciliation of tax data on financial statements. - Ensure
VAT, PAYE, Corporation tax and NSSF returns are accurate and filed in
time. - Plan,
direct, and execute various tax projects. - Perform
research and prepare/review technical tax memorandum.
- The
prospective NSSF employee should hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or
Finance. - The
candidate must be a fully qualified ACCA or CPA. - At
least four years of Tax experience in a large company, preferably
Financial Institution. - Computer
literacy skills i.e. Intermediate Excel experience - Working
knowledge of the Uganda Tax Reporting systems and Tax laws. - Good
familiarity and understanding of the Regional Tax laws. - Possess
the ability to lead, persuade, and communicate
