Job Summary: The TB
Product Sales Manager, Local Corporates will work closely with the Head of
Transaction Banking and extended sales team in Uganda for executing sales and
developing sales pipelines for clients under Local Corporate segment, in line
within overall Transactional Banking operating plans. The incumbent will also
structure Working Capital solutions and sell products and services to new and
existing customers in the Local Corporates segment and meet/exceed sales goals
and targets in respect of revenues and volumes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Accountable
    for the delivery of assigned Transaction Banking (TB) revenues from the
    Local Corporates portfolio.
  • Implement
    the sales strategy, to deliver the revenue ambition through a portfolio of
    existing and target list of Local Corporates companies using Uganda as a
    base for their operations in the Region as applicable.  
  • Increase
    client penetration and revenues for the bank by actively promoting the
    bank’s network and product capabilities (cross selling).
  • Leverage
    group sales tools and techniques to identify opportunities for new /
    incremental business; client planning, client maps, working capital
    analyzers, Work bench and pipeline management to achieve sales/revenue
    targets.
  • Maintain
    a detailed and up-to-date knowledge of the bank’s comprehensive products
    capabilities and their application to clients needs, and use this
    knowledge in structuring of solutions.
  • Grow
    alignment with key stakeholders; Virtual teams across multiple
    geographies, and Operations to achieve client priorities
  • Maintain
    high performance standards and role model behaviors that demonstrate the
    core values of the bank and its brand promise of being “Here for Good”
  • Ensure
    you remain alert to the risk of money laundering and assist in the Bank’
    efforts in combating it by adhering to the key   principles in relation to: identifying
    your customer, knowing your customer, reporting suspicions, safeguarding
    records and not disclosing suspicions to customers 
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    applicant must have some experience in Corporate and Investment Banking
    with over two years of senior client solutioning and sales in the Africa
    Region.
  • Strong
    people and sales management skills and experience (multi-cultural),
    ideally with relevant banking and corporate background.
  • Solid
    and proven frontline transactional sales experience across Working
    Capital, Trade Finance (documentary trade products, i.e. Letter of
    Credits, bonds & guarantees; bank & country risk products), Supply
    Chain Financing & Cash Management (global/ regional/ local payment,
    receipts and liquidity management structures, system infrastructure, etc)
  • Language
    skills: English, both written and oral; additional languages preferred
  • Skills
    for analyzing and formatting data provided by Finance and other sources.
  • Open
    minded, good listener, flexible with ‘think out of the box mentality
  • Excellent
    negotiation and presentation skills; ability to communicate with all
    levels in an organization
  • Disciplined
    approach to deal execution/ client follow-up
  • Strong
    cross-cultural awareness
  • Excellent
    interpersonal skills
  • Team
    player
  • Excellent
    knowledge of the Banking Policies, Standards, local regulations and
    legislations
