October, 2005. The Institute is managed and operated by the Uganda
Communications Commission (UCC), the regulator of the communications sector in
Uganda.
will serve as the chief academic and administrative officer as well as the
Accounting Officer of the Institute.
- Responsible for proper accountability for
all the Institute’s resources. - The effective and efficient performance of
both academic and administrative functions of the Institute. - Responsible for admissions in conformity
with approved policies. - In charge of Curriculum management and
implementation. - Responsible for general discipline of
staff and students as well as their welfare and academic performance. - Staff appraisals including, compiling and
submitting annual performance reports. - Initiates and prepares development and
work plans for the Institute. - In charge of mobilizing funds and other
resources for the Institute. - Performs public relations functions for
the Institute. - Co-ordinates all the Institute’s
activities and programmes. - Serve as the Secretary to the Governing
Council. - Performs any other duties as may be
assigned by the relevant authorities.
Experience:
- The candidate should hold a Master’s
Degree in an Information, Communications Technology related field. - Possess a postgraduate qualification in
Management of a duration of at least nine (9) months is an added
advantage. - Possession of a PhD qualification in an
ICT related field will be an added advantage. - At least twelve (12) years’ working
experience in an ICT environment and three (3) of which must have been at
a Senior Management Level.
