Job Summary: The Packaging Manager will oversee and
coordinate the Packaging Department (People, Plant, Process and Systems) in
order to achieve the required standard of product quality and output in the
most efficient and effective manner.

- Oversee the human resources by
facilitating effective team dynamics and implementing performance
management - Manage plant processes and systems while
ensuring conformance to specifications and process capability optimization - Manage safety housekeeping and
environmental standards by complying with safety, health and environmental
legislation and procedures - Manage productivity by controlling fixed
and variable costs while minimizing waste - Implement packaging, manufacturing and
business strategies by leading the Manufacturing Way Drive and
implementing technical strategies - Coordinate packaging logistics
- Ensure maintenance and engineering integrity
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The applicant should possess a Bachelor’s
degree in Engineering, - Proven Leadership ability: At least five years’
experience in a leadership position, within the FMCG environment - In depth knowledge of Asset Care
principles and good work practices - Excellent analytical & problem solving
skills - Keen attention to Detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Good knowledge and understanding of the
principles and practices of The Manufacturing Way - Good working knowledge of Manufacturing
way strategies and initiatives - Good knowledge of packaging production
processes and technologies - Familiarity with maintenance management
system - Influencing ability with regards to sound
maintenance practices
