About Epicentre:
Epicentre is a non-profit organization, created in 1987 by Médecins
Sans Frontières, whose activities include research, field epidemiology and
training, which groups health professionals specialised in public health and
epidemiology. In 1996, Epicentre became a World Health Organization Collaborating
Centre for Research in Epidemiology and Response to Emerging Diseases.
Epicentre follows its activities from its headquarters in Paris and from its
offices in Geneva, Brussels, Barcelona, New-York and research centres in Uganda
and Niger.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Primarily to manage all Epicentre archives
    as appropriate to meet compliance with the Good Clinical Practices.
  • The jobholder will assist with general
    record keeping duties and collecting information for access to information
    requests.
  • Assist in the development of search
    strategies and retrieving relevant records for their research
    requirements.
  • Responsible for managing and instituting
    controls for the operation of an archive
  • Facilitate and manage the process of
    Epicentre records from active to non-active status and the destruction of
    non-permanent records, by systematic disposal scheduling, taking into
    consideration statutory, administrative, audit and research requirements.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The candidate should possess a University
    degree in Archives Administration, Archives/ Records Management or
    Information Management, with a strong archives-specific component, may be
    acceptable.
  • At least two to five years’ experience in
    the field of archives and/or archives and records administration and
    information management, preferably in a records management/information
    service context.
  • Familiarity with use of technology for
    archives and information management.
  • Proven English communication (verbal and
    written) skills, including ability to report on activities and to provide
    expert advice on same to non-experts and to organizational units outside
    of Verification.
  • Flexibility, tact, discretion and ability
    to work harmoniously in a multicultural environment.
  • Computer literacy skills
