About GHU:
Global Health Uganda
(GHU) is a registered not for profit, limited liability company involved in
facilitating collaborative research especially in the area of brain injury and neurodevelopment.
The organization subcontracts and manages research grants.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
·        
Manage
Ethical aspects of GHU studies.
·        
Carrying
out regular periodic monitoring of GHU studies to ensure accuracy and completeness
of source documents, case report forms, trial master file and any other study
related documents.
·        
Ensure
that all GHU studies are adhering to Protocol, and fulfilling all ethical regulations,
·        
Ensure
all GHU studies are conducted according to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
·        
Offer
direction and support to trial investigators/coordinators in obtaining necessary
approvals and import permits from relevant regulatory bodies.
·        
Develop
and facilitate implementation of quality assurance plans for GHU studies.
·        
Plan
regular training for staff to ensure GCP compliance, human research protection and
other relevant
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  
·        
The
applicant should preferably hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized
institution.
·        
A
minimum of three years’ working experience in a research organization with
hands on experience in quality control and M & E.
·        
Ability
to understand research protocols and procedures.
·        
Ability
to pay attention to detail.
·        
Good
communication and interpersonal skills.
·        
Training
in research ethics and good clinical practice.
