About Us:
Fields of Life is an International Charitable organisation founded in 1995, with its Head Quarters the UK. In East Africa the organisation operates in Burundi, D.R. Congo, Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda. It’s committed to sharing the Christian faith by collaborating with local communities and churches in East Africa to bring about positive change through the provision of quality education, clean water, health promotion and other community based projects.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the school directors and Head teachers to ensure schools comply with organisation’s policies and procedures regarding child sponsorship in the allocated region
- Ensure liaison with the sponsorship team, school administrators, children and parents from time to time
- Report any concerns of sponsored children/parents to the sponsorship coordinator
- Regularly monitor and report on enrolment, attendance and performance of the sponsored children in Fields of Life schools allocated to him I her.
- Provide guidance, direction and counselling services to the allocated children/students
- Make sure that the sponsored children receive their benefits as required
- Ensure proper accountability from schools for any resources provided to them under the sponsorship programme
- Assist and guide all sponsored children in writing letters to their sponsors, deliver the completed letters to the Sponsorship coordinator in Kampala office
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant should hold a diploma, and preferably Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Education or Social Sciences from a recognised Institution
- The applicant should have prior experience in child sponsorship/ child development projects
- Additional training in Counselling & Guidance will be an added advantage
- Possess the ability to speak the local language of the preferred region
- Willingness to stay in the preferred region but with frequent travels to head office
- Ability to work in a Christian environment
