Job Summary: The Human Resource Officer will provide general oversight of the implementation of HR systems, and manage recruitment and ensure compliance with HR laws
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Develop best practice Human Resource policies and procedures for our client.
  • Write recruitment adverts for publication.
  • Recruit, interview, test, and select employees to fill vacant positions
  • Prepare employee contract letters
  • Plan and conduct new employee orientation and training
  • Manage staff database and records ensuring that all employee records are accurate
  • Quickly respond to inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures etc.
  • Oversee all administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management and/or related
  • A minimum of four years of related working experience
  • Proficiency in computer software (Standard of Proficiency in MS Excel and Word including excellent keyboard skills
  • Strong understanding of HR practices and legalities
  • Good working knowledge of administrative & clerical procedures
  • Strong understanding of the corporate / business operating environment
  • Excellent organizational, planning and communication skills.
  • Excellent comprehensive analyzing ability
  • Excellent multi-tasking ability
  • Good command of both written and spoken English, Luganda, and another local language
  • Excellent team player
  • Highly motivated and achievement oriented
  • Ability to pay attention to detail
  • Excellent report writing skills
