About Us: 
The Mango Fund is a non-profit impact fund or venture philanthropy fund that seeks to maximize in country returns for the fund and provide positive social impact for the people of East Africa. The ultimate goal of the fund is to create a sustainable in-country business model.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the Fund’s monthly loan repayment collections from various clients including communicating with them.
  • Responsible for interfacing with the Fund’s lawyers and debt collectors concerning delinquent clients.
  • Responsible for the Fund’s administrative and operational functions which include office premise maintenance, asset management, bill payments and management, and bank account interface and management.
  • Responsible for accurately maintaining the Fund’s accounting records for all financial transactions in Uganda.
  • Responsible for developing the Fund’s accounting and collections weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant must preferably hold a University Degree from a recognized institution.
  • At least five years work experience in a role or roles that involved acombination of operations, administrative and accounting responsibilities.
  • Past exposure and experience working with a financial institution
  • Working knowledge of a computerized accounting software
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks is an added advantage.
  • Computer literacy skills i.e. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Possess the ability to effectively communicate in English, with knowledge of at least one local language
  • Ability to identify problems, find and execute solutions with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to work with and through teams
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate
  • Ability to drive and deliver set results with high standards of excellence in line with the company’s policies and practices 
  • Ability to remain open minded responding appropriately to the demands of changing work circumstances.
  • Ability to accomplish tasks with required attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to recognize and appreciate the values, concerns or feelings of others.
