Planner role will play a key role in the Sales and Operations process that maps
supply and demand to bring together data and people from Sales, marketing,
finance and supply to give forecasts that guide the business on demand &
supply planning, aligning the whole business on one set of numbers. The johholder
gathers sales information, both internal and external (eg research data) and
helps interprete the data to guide demand forecasting.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the demand planning process,
manage the monthly activity review meeting and co-ordinate the teams to
get accurate forecasts. - Offer forecasts that relate to volumes,
country splits and phasing of the volumes. - Intuitively track and point out projected
gaps to AOP/Mission to allow for early intervention to bridge the gap - Maintain KPIs (forecast accuracy &
bias) and ensuring that they are up to our target level standards and
guidelines. - Develops and maintains a repository of
relevant information that can be utilized within the S&OP process - Make sure that standards/guidelines to the
process are adhered to ensure accuracy and consistency of data used for
decision-making, internal/external reporting and communications. - Carry our routine analysis to generate
insights that guide opportunity sizing and prioritization - Use and maintain the planning software as
the primary forecasting system tool. - Provide input to the supply planning
organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products,
and product phase-outs. - Closely coordinate and communicate
customer action plans with supply planning
Experience:
- The applicant should hold a Bachelor’s
degree in Business Administration or related field - Professional background in Supply Chain
management. - At least five years’ experience in Supply
Chain, Procurement or Logistics field with working knowledge of ERP systems
like SAP preferably in an FMCG manufacturing environment. - Detailed working knowledge of Capacity
Resource Planning and Requirements Planning. - Structured and organized- able to handle
time effectively and prioritize conflicting issues and decision making - Ability to influence others and
self-motivated - Excellent communication and negotiation
skills - Resilient and energetic
- Good analytical and numerical skills
- Computer literacy skills i.e. Proficient
in Spreadsheets (Excel) applications - Good knowledge and understanding of the
business in terms of the products, customers, consumers, internal ways of
working and industry complexities is crucial to the delivery of this role.
