• Steer,
  facilitate and monitor the organization’s strategy, annual operating plans
  and capital budget.
• Ensure
  all Board Committee decisions are implemented and provide support for
  proper management of the cash assets.
• Manage
  the timely update of the assets, register and ensure that assets purchased
  are capitalized and depreciated correctly.
• Ensure
  that proper books of account are kept and maintained.
• Oversee
  preparation of financial statements and distribution to the different
  stakeholders.
• Manage
  the tax liability, authorize payment to URA in fulfillment of the
  organization’s tax obligations.
• Ensure
  timely and reliable financial reporting to the Central Bank, and the Board
  of Directors
• Oversee
  external audit of financial statements and ensure weaknesses highlighted
  are addressed.
• Offer
  continuous leadership, supervision, training and development of the team
  ensuring an effective and motivated team.
• Work
  closely with the HR department in conducting performance appraisals and
  ensure competency and training gaps are addressed.

• The
  applicant should possess a University degree preferably in Accounting or
  Finance
• Membership
  of a professional accountancy body (ACCA, CPA)
• At
  least seven years’ related experience and/or training in banking, savings
  and loans and operations, or equivalent combination of education and
  experience.
• Minimum
  of four years experience in a senior leadership capacity.
• Professional
  training in banking and finance.
• Working
  knowledge of the principles, practices and legal issues relating to staff
  supervision and performance management, strategic planning and budget
  administration.
