Counsel
in accordance with the Wildlife Act Cap 200. The Mission of UWA is: “To
conserve, economically develop and sustainably manage the wildlife and
protected areas of Uganda in partnership with neighbouring communities and
other stakeholders for the benefit of the people of Uganda and the global
community.
Counsel will support the smooth running of the Legal Unit in order to keep UWA
operating its business in line with the law and ensure Uganda Wildlife
Authority is legally represented in its interests.
Experience:
- The candidate should hold an Honors
Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University - The candidate should also hold a
postgraduate diploma in legal practice form LDC. - The applicant should have a minimum of
three (3) years demonstrated working experience in the field of Law, in a
prominent and busy Public or Private organization or Firm. - Ability to interpret and apply applicable
laws - Excellent analytical and decision making
skills. - Possess the ability to work with minimum
supervision. - Excellent negotiation and communication
skills. - High degree of confidentiality.
- Time management.
