Job Summary: The Commercial Asset Finance Administrator will steer , manage and support the CAF sales team and the rest of the front team for ensuring efficient limits management and Monitoring & Control to the entire CAF portfolio for the Bank.
                                                                            
Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
1. Product Administration: 50%
  • Make sure that there is correct CAF income reporting on a monthly basis
  • Timely reconciliation and reporting of CAF account balances
  • Extract and circulate VAT invoices for customers with CAF facilities, plus, sales & Purchases reporting to Finance and the business as a whole.
  • Ensure that the customer has correctly executed agreements and facility letters
  • File documents with RCU to get Safe-To-Lend
  • Responsible for Debit Negotiation fees from customers Current Accounts
  • Raise LPO  suppliers of Assets to be financed
  • Issue release letters and delivery receipts to customers
  • Drawdown CAF loan on CreditEase, extract the payment plan and Schedule to Master Agreement for each contact entered, plus receipt negotiation fees in CreditEase

2. Service and Customer Relationship Management: 20%
Work in liaison with customers/ suppliers with regards to:
  • Producing and delivering statements
  • Follow-up and retrieval of security documents .i.e. logbooks, offer letters etc
  • Quickly resolving issues and dealing with complaints
  • Forward payments to Finance for issuance of VAT Certificates and Cheques
Liaison with Relationship Teams:
  • Answering queries relating to Asset finance staff & office issues
  • Forwarding Customer Balance Reports monthly to RMs
Liaison with Insurance Companies: Updating insurance for all assets financed and forward policy documents to DSC
3. Compliance and KYC: 10%
  • Achieve operational rigour excellence in all aspects of procedures and processes personally undertaken to ensure green audit.
  • Comply with general Barclays operational risk & rigour requirements e.g. Health & Safety standards and security of premises, KYC and anti-money laundering regulations.
  • Sign customer contracts on behalf of the bank once the contents have been agreed by all internal parties in accordance with current procedures.
4. Risk Interface: 10%
  • Collect securities documentation from customers ensuring that the securities meet Barclays standards and any specific requirements depending on the facilities offered to the customer.
  • Check all such documentation before submitting to the back office.
  • Together with the Relationship management team, conduct annual reviews of existing facilities to check utilisation and the continued health of the portfolio.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant should have detailed knowledge of the bank’s sales, credit assessment, account opening and other processes.
  • At least two years’ experience in a Banking environment.
  • A working knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation e.g. KYC, Anti-Money laundering, banking code, service standards, health & safety standards etc.
  • A sound knowledge of the bank’s internal departments, systems & procedures.
  • Awareness and understanding of Barclays products & services to generate leads.
  • Past exposure and experience in presenting technical aspects of banking products in a variety of mediums including formal presentations, proposals, telephonic presentations etc.
  • Preferred
  • Good working knowledge of the Barclays Corporate Banking structure.
  • Prior experience in Barclays core applications is preferred
  • Past exposure and experience in data reconciliation
  • Essential knowledge on Leasing in Uganda.
  • Proven ability in the field of sales and administration
  • Excellent communication skills – written, oral and presentation
