Amatheon Agri Uganda is part of
Amatheon Agri Holding N.V., a German agribusiness and farming company,
developing and operating sustainable projects in Sub-Saharan Africa. Amatheon
Agri Uganda is currently developing a new commercial farming operation in
Northern Uganda for which it will need experienced staff to support the set up
during the first agricultural season. Amatheon aims to create shareholder value
and increased food production through the development of new large scale
agriculture operations, the application of state-of-the-art farming techniques
and vertical integration across the agricultural value chain.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Actively
support in the set-up of an agricultural production from Greenfield Level - Assist
in the Development and Preparation of currently unused land for farming
purposes - Support
in planting of first crops in cooperation with local staff and Management - Uphold
Farm administration practices, employee relations and welfare and keep a
motivated workforce.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The
candidate should hold a good university degree in Agricultural Business,
Crop - Science,
Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Engineering or a related field. - Post
graduate qualifications in Agriculture Engineering related field is an
added advantage - Excellent
knowledge and use of modern agricultural machinery is a must. - At
least three to five years’ hands-on extensive agricultural experience. - Should
be able to work long hours with minimum supervision in a challenging
setup. - Excellent
command of both spoken and written English - Past
experience in working in developing countries - Intercultural
competence and interest is a must - Highly
motivated to train local staff and work as a team.
