Administration and Program Manager Job Vacancy – Pearl Capital Partners

Job Summary: The Administration and Program Manager will primarily ensure a well-organized, effective and efficiently-run Kampala office. The jobholder will also be responsible for the management and Co-ordination of the USAID-funded Agribusiness Technical Assistance Grant, so as to ensure full compliance with all contractual requirements and the delivery of value-added technical assistance to PCP Uganda’s Portfolio companies
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Office Management: ensuring a well-run, efficient and pleasant working environment.
Filing systems
- Responsible for the co-ordination of development and social impact studies, including managing annual GIIRS rating process and KIT independent baseline evaluations.
IT Administration: Supervision of service providers and administration staff (Two direct reports).
PCP Uganda HR management:
- Administration and co-ordination of USAID Technical Assistance facility, including
- Working with Investment Managers to identify TA support requirements for Portfolio
Companies (pre- and post-investment)
- Ensuring compliance with all contractual terms for the organization’s facility
- Preparation of quarterly TA reports
- Maintenance of TA provider register
- Communication of TA facility to Portfolio Companies
- Development of TA proposals, consultant terms of references, etc. for presentation to the PCP Uganda AACF Investment Committee
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The candidate must hold a good university degree or equivalent professional qualification
- At least five years of progressive experience.
- Excellent Administration/Office Management skills
- Skills in report preparation
- Past skills in Contracts Management and negotiation
- Skills in Donor reporting preferred
- Some experience in Human Resource Management is an added advantage
- Prior Management Consulting/Advisory experience
- Excellent communication Skills
- Excellent spoken and written business English
- Ability to gain confidence of team members and Portfolio company senior Management
- Confidence in dealing with 3rd part providers
- Team work
- Good influencing skills
- Focus on getting results. Very important “Completing and finishing” skills.
- Excellent technology Skills
- Computer literacy skills i.e. Proficient in MS Office Word and Excel (Essential)
- Understanding of Network/ICT management (Desirable)
- High level of Planning and Organizing
- Ability to self-start and manage own workload without high levels of direction (Imitativeness).
