Job Summary: The ACTED Program
Manager will oversee the implementation of the USAID funded (Northern Uganda
Development of Enhanced Local Governance, Infrastructure and Livelihoods
(NUDEIL).

Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and oversight from
project implementation through life cycle duration - Responsible for the supervision of program
technical team. - Develop maintain, and sustain strong
relationship with all relevant stakeholders and project teams - Guide the implementation of the project
and all relevant follow up - Manage project finances, pipelines and
planning - Work closely with all internal and
external counterparts on the project; - Assess the activities undertaken and
ensure efficient use of resources; - Establish clear timeline of reports to be
submitted to project Donors; - Responsible for all donor reporting
- In charge of drafting narrative reports
and contribute to the development of financial reports through regular
budgetary follow up; - Ensure adherence to ACTED processes and
procedures. - Ensures compliance with contractual
obligations and achievement of project scope of work and financial goals
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The candidate must possess a Master’s
degree in civil engineering, economics or social science discipline - Five or more years’ experience managing
large complex infrastructure programs preferably within an African context - S/he should have at least five years’
experience managing multi-faceted projects, including those in the
infrastructure sector; - Proven ability to quickly and effectively
assemble and manage a highly-skilled, interdisciplinary team; ability to
effectively collaborate and coordinate with and lead a broad range of
governmental and non-governmental actors; - Possess the ability to manage high-profile
and politically sensitive programs. - Possess the ability to organize and
coordinate multiple projects and ensure completion of requisite milestones
within established deadlines; - Strong organizational, interpersonal and
project management skills - Excellent track record in managing large
teams effectively - Strong communications and interpersonal
skills with evidence of ability to interact with a wide range and level of
stakeholders (government, private sector, NGOs). - Past exposure and experience leading
collaborative efforts with multiple stakeholders - Strong organizational and project
management skills; - Proven ability to manage multiple projects
and priorities - Excellent conceptual, analytical and
writing skills - Excellent oral and written communication
skills - Excellent report writing skills
