Assistant
is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Heritage. The
Uganda Wildlife Education Center is a fun and exciting place to see and learn

Responsibilities:
- Possess the ability to handle payments
including: - Receiving and receipting
payment instructions for all Centre financial transactions. - Posting all payment receipts
and invoices in the Books of Accounts and computerized programmes of the
Centre. - Preparing payment vouchers
and checking for authorization for payments. - Ensuring that payment
vouchers are supported by the required attachments - Ability to handle Centre revenue
including: - Receiving and receipting all
revenue - Posting all revenue and
payment receipts into the Books of Accounts and computerized - programmes.
Experience:
- The Accounts Assistant must hold a good
diploma in Accounting or its equivalent - Partial professional qualification
- Two or more years’ relevant experience in
Accounting - Past exposure and experience in
Maintaining both manual and electronic Books of Accounts including:- - Continuously updating income
and expenditure schedules. - Preparing reconciliation
statements. - Expertise in Managing Stores
for office supplies and equipment including:- - Designing and maintaining a
store’s inventory manual. - Maintaining order and
re-order levels of supplies.
