About UBOS:
The Government of Uganda (GoU), through the Uganda Bureau of Statistics
(UBOS), will be undertaking the National Population and Housing Census 2014
Enumeration Exercise from 28th August to 6th September 2014 in accordance with
the Uganda Bureau of Statistics Act, 1998. The Census 2014 results will provide
bench-mark socio-demographic data at all administrative levels necessary for
general administration and the planning process.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

- Supervise a team of Data Verifiers/Coders;
- Keep a record of the individual daily
outputs in the team; - Implement a team operational plan;
- Compile and send a daily team operations
report; - Ensure proper handling of the materials
received from supervisors; - Maintain production area in a neat and
orderly condition; and - Perform any other duties as may be
assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The candidates should possess Bachelor’s
Degrees from recognised university; - Hold a Uganda Certificate of Education
(UCE) with a credit in Mathematics and English; - Prior experience in data processing or
related field at supervisory level of not less than two years. - Skills and knowledge of data management;
- Ability to work independently with minimal
supervision; - Ability to communicate clearly and
concisely, both orally and in writing; - Attention to detail;
- Sound judgment to identify and report
problems to supervisors and contribute to resolving team conflicts; - High quality inter-personal skills.
