Job Summary: The Field Coordinator will primarily receive
and deliver commodities (food) to targeted households and do accounting and
reporting of the food distributed through set standards of World Vision Uganda.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities: 
  • Collect, compile and present
    implementation challenges in to donor meetings at field level in respect
    to World Vision commodity manual.
  • Compile, prepare and disseminate
    distribution plans to staff and beneficiaries in line with the
    beneficially list
  • Compile, prepare and submit monthly,
    quarterly and annual commodity status reports supervisor
  • Revise all statistical reports before
    submission
  • Plan and provide training to all staff in
    commodity management in line with World Vision Uganda commodity Manual
  • Review all commodity documents to identify
    any mistakes for correction in line with standard operating procedures.
  • Carry out staff appraisals, mentoring and
    supervision of subordinate staff
  • Prepare invoice summaries to WFP for
    approval and funding in line with WFFP/WVU approved budget
  • Prepare commodity annual budget in line
    with approved project budget
  • Review cash vouchers in line with World
    Vision finance manual
  • Inspect the warehouse and produce a
    warehouse inspection report in line with WVI Warehouse manual
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The applicant should possess a Bachelor’s
    degree in Business administration, Development studies, procurement and
    supply chain management or any other relevant field.
  • At least three years’ experience in a
    similar role in an International Organisation is desirable.
  • The jobholder must be a self starter, able
    to work with minimal supervision
  • Computer literacy skills
  • Commitment to World Vision mission and
    partnership values and sensitivity to its various expressions across
    cultures and denominations.
  • An excellent track record demonstrating
    high integrity, reliable and dependable
  • Good networking and influencing skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be a committed Christian, able to
    stand above denominational diversities.
