of the comprehensive TB and HIV/AIDS Program, working with the country team
s/he will travel extensively to provide technical advice to the areas in which
EGPAF is working. He/she will offer technical support and direction to implementing
partners at the regional, district, sub-district and community levels.
Responsibilities:
- Offers technical supervision for
comprehensive TB and HIV/AIDS programs by updating district teams,
implementing partners on technical advances and lessons learned around the
world. - Assists in setting up and running HIV
clinical services and track progress at individual sites through site
visits and district reports, in collaboration with MOH and the EGPAF
program team. - Actively coordinate and participate in
capacity building of district and site through organizing and conducting
mentoring and coaching; CMEs and occasionally formal trainings. - Offer technical leadership to the district
teams for annual and quarterly work plan development - Significantly coordinates program
reporting according to defined reporting schedule, writes regular
monitoring and technical reports as required and contribute to EGPAF’s
reports. - Oversee project finances and other
resources related to implementation of activities in the assigned district
in line with the Foundation finance guidelines. - Assists in identifying, documenting,
disseminating and scaling up best practices in PMTCT and C&T.
Experience:
- The qualified candidate will have a
medical degree and/or a master’s degree in Public Health - Five or more years’ professional
experience working in HIV/AIDS prevention, care & treatment. - Practical knowledge and skills in
designing, planning, implementing and monitoring PMTCT, clinical care and
Pediatric care programs. - Hands-on experience in managing ART
Services at district levels. - Sound knowledge and understanding of
current issues and developments in the field of HIV/AIDS and especially
PMTCT, ART and VCT. - Strong skills in teamwork and networking.
Excellent verbal communication and writing skills.
