Job Summary: The Transport
Officer will plan, direct and coordinate all transport activities and
operations of the Company.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update vehicle repair and servicing
records - Keep track of fuel and lubricant
statistics - Prepare sectional requisitions for vehicle
requirements - Actively coordinate fuel and motor spare
supplies and procurement - Take part in the recruitment and
performance evaluation of company drivers - Maintain status reports on vehicles and
motorcycles on a weekly basis - Ensure compliance of fleet with road
regulations - Participate in preparations of budgets for
transport and logistics section - Assist in preparation of transport routes,
pick ups and schedules. - Put systems in to monitor and control
motor vehicle movements - Directly monitor vehicle repairs and
maintenance - Perform any other duties assigned to you
from time to time within the Company framework.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The candidate should possess an Ordinary
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution - Hold additional qualifications in
automotive engineering will would be an advantage - At least two years’ experience in a
similar field in a reputable organisation. - Possess a Valid driving license
- Good knowledge and understanding of the
road rules and regulations. - Excellent computer skills
- Willingness and ability to work long hours
- Posses the ability to work independently
to meet deadlines - Ability to multi task with good knowledge
of the country’s transport systems - Possess the ability to work effectively
under time pressure and constraints
