Job Summary: The Systems
Administrator will ensure systems support and availability in accordance to
agreed service level and provide the required IT support-network, hardware, and
software to the systems users.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities: 
  • Responsible for administering the servers
    and software licenses
  • In charge of implementation and maintain
    active directory on windows 2003/2008 servers
  • Responsible for all installations and
    configurations of  server base
    software
  • Work closely with the hardware and
    software vendors for software upgrade and maintenance
  • Configure and maintain email (outlook and
    proxy)
  • Mentor and train users and support Staff
    to ensure best practices in utilizing available IT facilities.
  • Establish and enforce problem resolution
    procedures to ensure systems availability
  • Deploy Microsoft messaging and office
    productivity tools eg email, EMS office etc
  • Ensure that all servers are up and running
    all the time.
  • Develop and ensure compliance with
    disaster recovery programs for systems backup at all times
  • Perform any other duties assigned to you
    from time to time within the Company framework.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The candidate should hold a Bachelors
    Degree (Hons) in Computer Science/Information Technology
  • Hold IT professional certification such as
    MSCE and Linux
  • At least two years’ experience in managing
    Linux and Windows servers in a busy organization.
  • Highly familiar with standard concepts,
    practices, and procedures within the IT field.
  • Performs a variety of tasks.
  • Possess the ability to work under general
    supervision.
  • A certain degree of creativity and
    latitude is required.
  • Willingness to work long hours or on call
  • Should be a team player
  • Possess the ability to work effectively
    under time pressure and constraints
