About NDA:
The National Drug Authority (NDA) is an autonomous body which was
established by the National Drug Policy and Authority Act Cap 206 , Laws of
Uganda (2000 Edition) to regulate Human and Veterinary Medicines and other
healthcare products. NDA’s mandate is to ensure quality, safety and efficacy of
human and veterinary medicines and other healthcare products through the
regulation and control of their production, importation, distribution and use.
Job Summary: The NDA Stores
Officer will manage stores and assets processes and produce regular reports to
management as required.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities: 
  • Receive goods and record them in Navision
    Financial Management System;
  • Issue Stores according to orders received
    from different Departments and
    regional offices;
  • Plan re-order levels of all supplies and
    requisition for more supplies;
  • Offer and submit regular reports on
    balances of stores to the Senior Accountant;
  • Receive all assets supplied to the
    Authority and liaise with the Senior Accountant to have them entered in
    the Asset Register;
  • Co-ordinate the engraving of all assets
    received;
  • Be responsible for all assets of the
    Authority and produce regular reports on their existence and condition;
  • Initiate Payments to Suppliers by raising
    supplier’s Payment Routing Slips
  • Manage, mentor and supervise other
    employees in charge of stores.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the
    supervisor from time to time
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s
    degree in Procurement and Supplies Management from a recognized
    institution
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in a
    similar position in a reputable organization
  • Past supervisory and record management
    experience
  • Proficiency in Computer applications
    specialized in stores management and thorough knowledge of MS Office
    applications
  • High level integrity
  • Excellent planning, organizational and
    reporting skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Full professional CIPS qualification is an
    advantage
  • Specialized training in stores, Asset and
    inventory management
