In 2013, we reached over 143 million children through our work around 52m directly and 91 million indirectly around the world.
Job Summary: The Stakeholder and Advocacy Specialist will be member of the EVERYONE team and take the primary responsibility for developing and managing multi-stakeholder engagement platforms and projects at a national level including the Government, Media, CSOs, the Private Sector, and any identified stakeholders in order to maintain and further enhance EVERYONE program relationships with key decision makers and influencers within both the Public and Private sector landscapes. He/she also provides oversight of the Advocacy initiatives and builds capacity of advocacy teams and stakeholders on the EVERYONE program.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant should possess a Bachelor’s degree in mass communication, social sciences, social work and social administration, development studies, education. Post graduate training in a relevant discipline is an added advantage.
  • A minimum of five years progressive experience in communication, stakeholder engagement, fundraising and media relations in an international NGO.
  • Good knowledge of the local and international media and communication dynamics and the UN system.
  • Past experience of working with local partners and District Local Government in Child Rights Governance, Health, Nutrition, Education, HIV/AIDS or Child Protection is an added advantage.
  • Excellent analytical skills and strategic planning abilities.
  • Possess the ability to establish and maintain conducive collegial relations and perform effectively as a member of a team.
  • Willingness to travel and work in hard-to-reach areas, occasionally under strenuous conditions.
  • Highly computer literate and possess excellent documentation skills.
  • Availability and willingness to work extra hours during times of humanitarian responses.
  • Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • Ability to intervene with crisis management or troubleshooting as necessary.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including influencing, negotiation and coaching
  • Excellent time management and planning capacity.
  • Availability and willingness to work extra hours during times of humanitarian responses.
