Job Summary: The incumbent will take the overall
responsibility of the co-ordination and implementation of the juvenile justice
component under the Youth Skills Enhancement Project (YSEP) with staff and
partners in Northern Region and at national level. He/she will co-ordinate and implement
community, regional and national level juvenile justice activities to harness
integration and implementation of child-friendly justice systems amongst
Justice, Law and Order Sector (JLOS) actors. The job holder will also with work
partners, including Justice Law and Order Sector (JLOS) actors, the Ministry of
Justice and Constitutional Affairs as well as the Ministry of Gender, Labour
and Social Development in planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of

Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The Juvenile Justice Specialist should
hold a Bachelors’ degree in Law or relevant discipline - Five or more years working experience in
juvenile justice. - Past exposure and experience in community
based integrated social development and Non-formal education projects and
with International NGOs particularly those addressing children’s rights to
education those applying partnership approach is of added advantage. - Proven ability and experience in working
in partnerships, co-ordination, networking and collaboration. - Past experience of working with local
partners and District Local Government in Child Rights Governance, Health,
Nutrition, Education, HIV/AIDS or Child Protection is an added advantage. - Excellent analytical skills and strategic
planning abilities. - Possess the ability to establish and
maintain conducive collegial relations and perform effectively as a member
of a team. - Willingness to travel and work in
hard-to-reach areas, occasionally under strenuous conditions. - Highly computer literate and possess
excellent documentation skills. - Availability and willingness to work extra
hours during times of humanitarian responses. - Highly developed cultural awareness and
ability to work well in an international environment with people from
diverse backgrounds and cultures - Ability to intervene with crisis
management or troubleshooting as necessary. - Excellent interpersonal and communication
skills including influencing, negotiation and coaching - Excellent time management and planning
capacity. - Availability and willingness to work extra
hours during times of humanitarian responses.
