Job Summary: The Procurement Officer should plan and supervise the procurement of goods and services, ensuring that adequate utilities are provided cost effectively based on the approved budgets that meet the university’s business objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the approved suppliers, clearing and forwarding agents and transporters for timely delivery.
- Receives intended goods and services from user departments and ensures they meet all the specifications.
- Sources for goods and services from approved suppliers through quotations and pro forma invoices to determine availability and pricing.
- Analyze and evaluate tender documents for procurement committee.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Logistics Management, Commerce, Business Administration.
- Hold professional Qualification in Procurement (CIPE)
- A minimum of three years’ working experience in similar role preferably in service companies.
- Excellent inter personal, communication and negotiation skills.
- High degree of honesty and integrity.
Age: 30 years and above.
