Job Summary: The Post
Officer-Post Bus Operations will be in charge of ensuring operational
efficiency of the Post Bus unit and uninterrupted service to Post Bus clientele
in order to achieve unit’s revenue targets
Key Duties and
Responsibilities: 
  • Monitor the buses’ service schedules and
    ensure that fleet is serviced on schedule
  • Identify faults and defects on the buses
    and liaise with Transport/Admin to ensure that they are rectified without
    undue delay
  • Ensure that buses are maintained in a
    hygienic and clean condition(both the outside and the interior) prior to
    the passenger boarding time
  • Inspect and submit regular reports on the
    condition of bus tyres to enable timely replacement
  • Monitor the bus drivers’ usage and
    handling of bus tyres in order to eliminate tyre losses, misuse and other
    tyre related malpractices
  • Intuitively check and regularly report on
    the condition of bus speedometers and speed governors
  • Monitor fleet movements and maintain
    mileage records for each bus and ensure that they are renewed prior to
    expiry.
  • Responsible for maintaining a record of
    fleet’s insurance cover and initiate alerts for renewal of insurance in
    good time prior to expiry.
  • Follow up traffic cases involving buses in
    order to have the cases quickly resolved and minimize fleet downtime.
  • Perform any other duties assigned to you
    from time to time within the Company framework.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The Post Officer must hold an ordinary
    Diploma in Mechanical engineering or its equivalent from recognized
    institution.
  • Possess a Valid Defensive Driving
    Certificate with classes B, CM, CH, DM, DH
  • Ability to speak and write English with
    good customer care skills
  • Willingness to work long hours and meet
    strict deadlines
  • Possess the ability to check defects on
    vehicles
  • High levels of integrity with good
    interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrable knowledge of bus operations
