The Business Operations Supervisor will:
- Technically support accounting/finance
functions such as labor charging, cash reporting, customer invoicing, and
purchase requisition support. - Improve field site finance
capability/flexibility in the areas of project controls management, bill
of Materials support, and Accounts Payable/Expense Report support. - Enhance business operations and accounting
support/effectiveness on supported programs. - Prepare budget estimates for activities
centered on Labor, Materials, Subcontracts and Other Direct Costs (ODC’s)
utilizing established methods. - Support Project Managers in preparing
budget reports and other related project control planning. - Analyze Project Income Statements and
prepare monthly Estimate at Completions (EACs) and full year/out year
forecast reports. - Assist in determining and implementing
Work Breakdown and Project Coding Structures for control and integrity of
work to be performed. - Monitor weekly and monthly performance
against Budget at Completions (BACs), EACs and Estimate to Completes
(ETCs). - Brief managers on cost performance
variance analysis and the resulting need to spend or control costs within
budgets/schedules. - Assist in establishing and/or implement
cost standards for recording, reporting and analyzing performance data. - Collect, interpret and input schedule data
into the EAC database and provide output to the project teams. - Analyze variances in cost and schedule
performance against the plan, communicate the reasons for the variances
and propose mitigation plans to Project Management. - Coordinate the review of Project
Profit/Risk Analysis with management and provide status reporting. - Carry out unannounced labor/timesheet
audits on project personnel in compliance with DCAA audit standards.
Experience:
- The applicant must have a four-year degree
from an accredited university or college in Finance or a related field is
required. - At least three years’ experience in the
finance/operations field including familiarity with functional areas in
business operations; cost modeling and control, EAC development, Work
Breakdown Structures and supporting a program from a project controls or
accounting perspective. - Possess the ability to read, analyze, and
interpret policies, procedures and technical documentation. - US citizenship is not required.
- Must be able to understand and follow oral
and written directions. - Computer literacy skills i.e. proficient
in Excel, Word and Power Point - Past experience in Deltek CostPoint is
desired. - Previous Overseas experience is desired
- Auditing experience is desired.
- Excellent English language skills are
required, French language skills are desired. - Willingness and ability to live and work
on remote sites in shared accommodations.
