Key Duties and
Responsibilities: 

1. Human Resources:

  • Work closely with the responsible line
    managers to coordinate the hiring of and exit of staff.
  • Updates and maintains staff personal files
    including ensuring that appraisals are done on time, leave records, salary
    adjustments etc.
  • Responsible for the procurement of work
    permits for international staff
  • Works closely with the lawyer on staff HR
    issues
  • Supports SMT in salary reviews including
    collection and analysis of cost of living data
  • In charge of the production of all HR
    related correspondence for CD’s signature
  • Ensures that all health and safety
    assessments are carried out regularly, staffs are aware of related issues,
    and that standards are observed. Make recommendations to SMT for
    improvements on on-going basis.
  • Work with and support SMT in enhancing
    team competencies among staff and managers.
  • Support the line managers and SMT to
    regularly conduct skills audit for staff and matching skills to needs of
    the organisation.
  • Maintain relations and information sharing
    with peers from like organisations for example the HR networks and Oxfam
    affiliates.
  • Responsible for managing staff benefits
    including medical insurance, group personal accident scheme, salary reviews
    etc.
  • Recommend revisions to HR manual as and
    when
  • Organise and manage team building
    activities
  • Work closely with other affiliate HR
    colleagues to facilitate Inter oxfam HR issues including secondments,
    staff developments, training and such other OD related processes.
  • Work with the Oxfam HR in the Hague and
    other offices to manage local international staff benefits

2. Administration:

  • Ensures that the office accommodation is
    clean, attractive and in good repair at all times, including supervision
    of the front desk and office support assistant, liaising with the
    landlord, staff and contractors to rectify any problems if necessary.
  • Responsible for the management of tenancy
    agreements for both office and expatriate staff residences and provide
    similar support to field offices to ensure compliance and fulfillment of
    agreed obligations.
  • Ensures that the accommodation
    arrangements are fit for purpose, including reviewing and redesigning
    office design, seating arrangements, decoration and furniture when necessary.

 

Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 

  • The applicant should hold a Bachelor’s
    degree in Human Resources or social sciences with a diploma in HRM
  • A minimum of three years’ experience
    preferably in an NGO.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to
    work on own and within various teams; proven ability to be flexible and
    work under pressure.
  • Good written and spoken English is
    essential.
  • Alignment with the aims, objectives and
