AMREF aims to close the gap that prevents people from accessing their basic
right to health. AMREF is headquartered in Nairobi, and has programmes in
Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Southern Sudan, South Africa and West

approximately $70 million, AMREF is a knowledge resource for donors and
partners.
Officer will offer technical support in the development and implementation of
eHealth projects at the Uganda Country Office in line with AMREF Health
Africa’s strategy including project management, distance learning content
development process, and capacity building.
- The incumbent will
develop learning materials repository that can be used by Amref Health
Africa trainers as necessary. - The job holder will
provide skills transfer to relevant stakeholders key in making the
eLearning project work (content developers, the total process of group
contributions (Content developers, eTutors and course administrators). - The job holder will provide
support to various ICT trainings on the two projects JIBU & eLearning
in Uganda. - The job holder will
establish and effect appropriate quality assurance and control standards
and support compliance - The job holder will
support the preparation of bids/proposals in line with the project’s
mandate and Amref Health Africa’s areas of focus. - The incumbent will technically
support the development and delivery of monitoring and evaluation
frameworks for both JIBU & eLearning Projects - Technically support
the dissemination of project information by drafting and disseminating
project reports on a regular basis, including financial and technical
reports to donors and all required project information to AMREF Health
Africa internal users. - The jobholder will provide
support & complete the process of aligning project work plans and
budgets in excel sheets so as enhance project activity implementation,
reporting and M&E. - Establish information
sharing mechanisms between key stakeholders and project team for better
understanding of AMREF Health Africa contribution to project area. - The incumbent will
ensure timely feedback to consultants and clients with regards to project
assignments. - Perform any other
duties delegated from time to time by management.
- The Project Officer
for the e-learning Project should hold a Bachelor’s degree in business
administration, social sciences, education, IT or related field. - Detailed working knowledge
of project management concepts and principles - Comprehensive knowledge
of content development processes and practices desirable - At least three years’
demonstrable work experience in projects within the development sector - Past experience in the
use of ICT for development - Excellent
communication skills with a good command of English - Possess the ability to
multi task - Ability to mentor and
teach - Strong learning
ability especially with new technology and processes - Results oriented
