Authority (NDA)
Resource & Administration Officer
established by the National Drug Policy and Authority Act Cap 206 , Laws of
Uganda (2000 Edition) to regulate Human and Veterinary Medicines and other
healthcare products. NDA’s mandate is to ensure quality, safety and efficacy of
human and veterinary medicines and other healthcare products through the
regulation and control of their production, importation, distribution and use.
Resource Officer will offer administrative support to the Human Resources
function of NDA
Responsibilities:
- Actively facilitate the implementation of
Human Resource Policies, strategies, rules, regulations, procedures and
terms and conditions of service. - Oversee and ensure the regular update and
safe custody of staff records including the staff appraisal forms. - Prepare relevant documents to facilitate
staff recruitment, appraisal, training and development, contract renewals,
deployment, motivation, access to welfare facilities and exit. - Compile and prepare HR reports and other
briefs as advised by the supervisor - Coordinate movement of correspondences
between Human Resources Unit and other departments - Interpret for staff existing Human
Resource Policies, Strategies, Rules, Regulations and terms and conditions
of service. - Counsel staff and arbitrate in simple
cases of industrial or labour relations. - Perform any other duties assigned by the
Supervisor from time to time
Experience:
- The applicant should hold a Bachelor‘s
degree in Human Resource Management, Bachelor of Arts (Social Sciences),
Bachelor of Social Work &Social Administration, - Public Administration, Bachelor of
Business Administration (Human Resource management option). - Possession of a Postgraduate training in
Human Resource Management - At least five years’ experience in Human
Resource Management gained from a reputable organization(s). - Computer literacy skills in specialized
Human Resource Information management packages - Highly flexible and approachable
- Computer literacy and application of
Microsoft Office packages - Possess the ability to work independently
but coordinate effectively as part of a team - Excellent interpersonal skills
- Good presentation skills
- Counseling and arbitration skills
- Working knowledge of human resource
management policies - Knowledge of Employment Act other labour
