Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Carry
    out economic and financial appraisals for clients wanting to invest in
    different sectors of the economy
  • Devise
    methods and procedures for obtaining financial, taxation and quantitative
    data from the country, region and the world
  • Intuitively
    understand various sampling techniques that may be used to conduct
    different types of surveys;
  • Create
    various econometric modelling techniques for use in developing forecasts;
  • Stay
    updated with past, present and future economic, financial, environmental
    related issues and trends and provide able guidance to clients
  • Write
    various technical and non-technical reports on economic trends and
    forecasts and participate in public conferences, press and other media
  • Deliver
    numerous oral and visual presentations
  • Prepare
    regular publications on changes in key macroeconomic factors which will
    impact the clients in various sectors of economy. 
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    applicant must hold an honour’s Degree in either Quantitative Economics,
    Economics or  Financial Economics from a recognised University
  • At
    least three years of relevant experience.
  • Possess
    excellent economic and financial modelling skills
  • Excellent
    report writing skills
  • Good
    research skills
  • Possess
    the ability to interpret the financial statements of companies
  • Excellent
    numerical and analytical skills
  • Willingness
    to work under supervision and learn new -i skills quickly
  • Highly
    results-oriented and able to meet tight deadlines
  • Computer
    literacy skills i.e. working knowledge of various Microsoft packages
  • Keen
    adherence to the highest degree of professional standards and strict
    client confidentiality.
  • Ability
    to work well within a team
  • Excellent
    written and oral communication skills
  • Possess
    a strong work initiative and the ability to adapt to new challenges and
    ideas
