Job Summary: The Territory
Sales Managers will actively engage with trade and retail partners on the
ground’ in order to actively promote the UTL brand and deliver the targeted
sales.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that retailer
    and stockists purchases of both SIM cards & airtime are above target.
  • Actively engage
    constantly with the distributors DSD’s to ensure they are knowledgeable
    about UTL products and services
  • Ensure that effective
    route plans are developed and serviced by the distributor DSD’s – that in
    turn ensure that UTL stock is available in the market
  • Ensure the above route
    plans are being fulfilled as per a set agreed calendar
  • Open up new retail
    outlets within the territory and ensuring that they are branded
  • Ensure that all
    retailers within the UTL route have the relevant marketing material on display
  • Engage directly with
    the retailers/vendors within the territory and to train them on UTL
    products & services.
  • Act as the UTL
    representative within the trade ensuring that all opportunities are
    maximized and also all issues for a retail/vendor partner can be resolved
    in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure that relevant
    trade & competitor information is passed to the Sales &
    Distribution Management as relevant.
  • Work within the
    guidelines and policy of UTL, always ensuring operational and financial standards
    and guidelines are adhered to.
  • At all times, to be
    the Ambassador for the UTL brand by doing things in the ‘UTL way’,
    personifying the values in each and every action, and approach.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
  • The applicants must hold Bachelor’s degree
    in related field
  • Past experience in telecommunications
    sector
  • At least two years’ direct Sales &
    distribution experience
  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office
    applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent sales and service skills
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Ability to meet deadlines while working
    under pressure.

  • Excellent communication skills to deal
