About ABC:
ABC Capital Bank started its journey in 1993, as a deposit taking financial institution then trading by the name Capital Finance Corporation Limited. Licensed and supervised by Bank of Uganda under the Financial Institutions Act 2004, Capital Finance Corporation Limited offered a wide range of products such as savings accounts, business accounts, fixed deposits, business loans services and remittances through Western Union money transfer agency. The target market was mainly small and medium enterprises, individual and salaried workers.
Job Summary: The Bank’s Credit Analysts will ensure ABC has an optimal recovery of non performing advances.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Capture Client’s data in the bank and CRB system and maintain comprehensive files for the same.
- Prepare and maintain all relevant documentation/ records of approved loan facilities.
- Monitor and update credit files as and when transactions happen on them.
- Draw and effect maturity schedules for all approved loan facilities.
- Responsible for receiving loan applications and appraise the same.
- Support in the loan monitoring and recovery duties and ensure timely repayments of all credit facilities on their due date.
- Timely compute credit related returns as required by management and or external stakeholders.
- Maintain backup files for the credit department.
- Support the business growth of loans and advances.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Non-performing loans reduced to less than 5%
- No customer complaints.
- Zero errors in documentation.
- Increase in customer base
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant should have working knowledge of applicable Policies and Procedures.
- Good Customer Care skills – ability to deal with difficult customers and complex issues.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in order to deal with a wide range of customers.
- Possess the ability to work to strict deadlines and meet performance targets whilst maintaining accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Highly competent in the use of internal and external computer systems and numeracy skills.
