Manager – KLEP&FFK
Advocacy Non-Government Organization dedicated to working with children,
families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice in over 40 districts

KLEP&FFK will offer oversight and management in the Implementation of KLEP
II and FFK Projects in accordance with World Vision Uganda policies and
strategies.
- Provide management and technical
oversight/guidance to project staff in beneficiary identification, work
planning and implementation of FFK and KLEP II projects in accordance with
existing project designs. - In charge of translating plans into
actionable activities keeping in mind FFK and KLEPII Project technical
designs and approaches to meet the needs of the target communities. - Carry out day to day field level support
to project staff to ensure constant communication between World Vision and
supported communities. - Work closely with District and Sub-County
sector technical staff to ensure projects are implemented in line with the
approved district development plans and priorities. - Assist in the identification of new
opportunities/gaps based on existing needs; take lead baseline surveys and
develop new program approaches/concept notes to ensure continuity of World
Visions livelihoods and food security interventions in Kaabong District. - Conduct regular program reviews of the
plans and budgets to ensure activity implementation is in line with
approved plans and timelines. - Direct the project team in developing
,translating and rolling out of project specific initiatives e.g
trainings, advocacy campaigns etc to ensure they are properly tailored to
the needs of the beneficiaries; supports the solicitation process of
trainers ,consultants etc to support project implementation. - Direct World Vision leadership on the
humanitarian and development trends in the region for effective and
informed programming. - Ensure timely planning and undertaking of
project procurements; works with the local and National Office Procurement
Committees to ensure procurements are carried out according to policy and
are both time and cost sensitive. - Work with world vision technical
specialist to ensure World Vision technical approaches are mainstreamed in
the delivery of the FFK and KLEPII project implementation; ensure the
integration of all cross cutting themes in World Visions Interventions in
the target communities.
- Work closely with DM&E officers in all
aspects of project monitoring and evaluation exercises. - Conduct regular field visits, support
supervision to ensure WV resources are utilized according to the existing
plans. - Organizes joint monitoring exercises with
the District and sub-county stakeholders to ensure ownership of results
and outcomes for sustainability. - Actively track project changes based on
agreed upon indicators ensuring high impact and sustainability of
interventions among target communities. - Support the creation of project monitoring
tools and offer leadership in project monitoring making sure that the
monitoring outcomes are used to shape future interventions - Document best practices and lessons learnt
and share results to improve the quality of livelihoods and food security
programming. - Initiate and lead mid- term and end of
project evaluations with support from the immediate supervisor and
technical specialist. - Ensure World Vision’s institutional
learning and experiences in MNCH activities feed into SUSTAIN’s program
development.
- Manage project finances and asset in line
with WV policy - Carries out approvals and reviews in line
with approved authority levels - Ensure budgets are spent according to
plans providing justifications for any over or underages in budget
spending
- Manage, supervise and build capacity of
staff his supervision. - Conduct staff performance appraisals in
accordance with World Vision Uganda policy - Cultivate a positive team working
environment through staff coaching, mentorship and regular support to
ensure all staff development issues are attended to ; ensure the
administration of effective reward and punishment systems according to
World Vision P&C policies - Asses and identify staff development needs
and advise management accordingly.
- Represent World Vision in the livelihoods
and food security sector coordination activities in Kaabong District - Identify and build strategic linkages,
relations, collaborations and networks with other actors to support
districts in planning and implementation of Livelihoods and Food security
strategies within the district.
- Ensure timely submission of monthly,
quarterly, bi-annual and annual and end of project reports in line with
donor conditions - Ensure project and beneficiary database is
developed and maintained
Experience:
- The applicant should hold a bachelor’s
degree in Development related discipline /Masters in a relevant field of
study is preferred. - At least four years’ experience in
implementing livelihoods and food security interventions at middle
management or senior management level in an INGO. - Prior experience supporting livelihoods
projects in pastoral communities will be an added advantage. - Strong policy analysis and advocating
skills - Proven ability to work in a facilitative
and participative approach. - Superior communication skills – ability to
coordinate people at all levels – government partners, donors, communities
and staff with diplomacy, tact and collaboration. - Excellent budget management skills
- Must be a committed Christian, able to
stand above denominational diversities.
