Contract) is the five-year organizational program support vehicle through which
USAID/Uganda will pursue realizing its development objectives within the
complicated and shifting Ugandan development context. The purpose of
the Learning Contract is to provide monitoring, evaluation and learning support
services and build capacity of USAID/Uganda to implement USAID’s Collaborating,
Learning, and Adapting methodology to strengthen the implementation of
USAID/Uganda’s Country Development Cooperation Strategy and enhance USAID’s
organizational effectiveness.
Consultant will provide expert facilitation and advisory support to
teams/departments on performance improvement and change management strategies. He/
she will also support organizational communities of practice and/or working
groups to fulfill their assigned role/function.
The jobholder will also advise on the use of appropriate process and
performance evaluation approaches to determine the success of knowledge
management and organizational learning activities/interventions.
- Provide training/orientation on the
concept(s), approach(es) and analysis of knowledge
management/organizational learning and general organizational development
approaches - Facilitate program review and reflection
sessions that strengthen a culture of organizational learning and/or use
team building techniques - Support the mapping of organizational
processes that can benefit from the ongoing use process improvement
techniques - Advise/provide guidance on the use of
tools to monitor and evaluate knowledge generation and use.
Experience:
- At least 10 years of organizational
development experience, with a specific focus on performance improvement,
monitoring and evaluation, or knowledge management/organizational learning
assessment - Demonstrated expertise in
workshop/training design and facilitation/execution - Experience working with international
development/affairs organizations and/or in developing country contexts;
donor agency experience a plus - Strong track record of assessing,
documenting and reporting on change management/organizational improvement
processes
