The Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council is a statutory body
established by an Act of Parliament, Chapter 272 of 1996 to regulate and
enforce standards of education and practice in Uganda so as to protect society
from harmful effects of malpractice.

Job Summary: The Internal
Auditor will primarily enforce compliance to laws and accounting regulations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement and undertake a comprehensive
program of audit, risk and assurance with agreed budgets and time scales - Advise Council on matters of financial
utilization and accountability, - Compile and prepare statutory audit
reports and submit to relevant authorities, - Perform manpower audit to ensure
conformity with the established policies and guidelines, as well as
revenue collections and all monies due to the Council, - Audit procurement of goods and services to
ensure value for money, - Reviewing and advising on Council’s
accounting systems in line with the internal control - Identify, develop and document audit
issues and recommendations using independent judgment concerning areas
being reviewed - Reviewing and advising on Council’s
accounting systems in line with the internal controls and monitoring it’s
the expenditure. - Perform other duties incidental to the
above assigned from time to time by the supervisor
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The applicant must hold an Honors Bachelor’s
degree in Accounting and Finance, Commerce or Business Administration
(Accounting option) from a recognized institution, ACCA, CIA, or CPA
qualifications, and membership (CIA) may be of added advantage, - Five or more years’ relevant working
experience in a reputable organization is mandatory.
