Uganda Timber Growers Association (UTGA) is an
independent private sector Members’ Association of commercial tree growers in
Uganda. UTGA brings together private commercial tree growers for collective
action in terms of advocacy and lobbying to create a conducive environment to
establish, manage and harvest forest plantations, lobbying for favorable
financing and tax policies, creation of public awareness about the importance
of tree growing, information sharing, promoting the profitability of commercial
forestry and developing markets for timber and other forest products coming out
of Members plantations.

- Responsible for
the brokerage and strengthening linkages of UTGA Members with existing
local markets; - Identifying and
Creating new lucrative timber markets; - Technically
supporting UTGA planning for processing & utilisation; - Marketing
interventions and strategies to benefit UTGA Members; - Providing
extension services in all areas of commercial forestry to UTGA Growers
Qualifications,
Skills and Experience:

- The applicant
should hold a relevant qualification i.e. Degree or diploma - The applicant
should hold a driving experience with a valid License; - Ready to travel
extensively across the country; - He she should also
be hardworking, Trustworthy and a Team player; - Creative, Dynamic,
Proactive and Result oriented; - Computer literacy
skills; - Good negotiation
