will be undertaking the 2014 National Population and Housing Census enumeration
this year. The enumeration of all Ugandans will be conducted from 28th August
to 06th September 2014. It will involve door to door visits to all households
in Uganda during the specified period. Everybody who will have spent the night
of 27th /28th August (Census Night) in Uganda will be enumerated.

been nominated by the respective Chief Administrative Officers (CAOs) to
coordinate the activity.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the distribution and
retrieval of Census materials within the Parish; - In charge of mobilisation of Local Council
1 (LC1) members who are to assist as guides; - Mobilisation of the parish community for
the Census; - Responsible for the technical and
administrative supervision of the exercise within the parish; - Editing of the questionnaires and
enumeration areas Summary Sheets for any inconsistencies; and - Collecting information on persons who
spent the census night in lodges, inns, guest houses and hotels and
generate Summary Forms.
Experience:
- The candidates for the Parish/Ward
Supervisor vacancies must hold an “A” Level Certificate. However,
candidates with good credits in English and Mathematics at O-level may be
considered; - The applicants must also be mature and
responsible citizens (preferably with management experience and experience
in coordinating censuses/research/ surveys); - The applicants must also be ordinary
residents of the Parishes/ Wards and Villages in which they wish to work; - Proven organisational skills and ability
to mobilise; - Excellent communication skills;
- Excellent public relations skills
- The applicants must be available from 1st
August to 14th September, 2014.
