About NSSF: 
The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) is a Provident Fund mandated
to provide social security to its members as prescribed by law under CAP 222
(Laws of Uganda) through efficient management of members’ contributions. The
NSSF asset base is currently over Ugx. 4 trillion, making the Fund one of the
largest players in Uganda’s economy.
The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) is positioning itself to be
the Social Security Provider of Choice in Uganda. Our belief at the Fund is
that each employee contributes directly to the growth and success of the
business and each employee is expected to take pride in being a member of the
Job Summary:  The NSSF Operations Manager will offer
technical support and leadership to the business processing functions of the
Fund in delivering efficient and effective service.
Key Duties and
  • Manage the strategy to deal with data
    improvement and management
  • Oversee processing and payment of benefits
    within the agreed Turn Around Time
  • Actively coordinate logistics and supplies
    to branches with a few maintaining a well –functioning branch network
  • Optimize staff usage and deployment
  • Responsible for budget for the department,
    draw procurement plan and follow up on expenditure monitoring
  • Keep safe custody of the commercial policy
    and procedures manual and ensure their regular updating.
Qualifications, Skills and
  • The applicant should preferably hold a
    Good Bachelor’s degree in any business related field.
  • A Master’s degree in any business related
  • At least eight years’ experience, five of
    which should have been at level of Branch Manager of a busy, large
    commercial or financial institution.
  • Past experience in sales is highly
  • Computer literacy skills in the use of
    Microsoft office applications (Ms Excel, Word Powerpoint)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent Coordination skills and
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good supervisory skills
