m2m:

Summary: The mothers2mothers
M&E Officer will technically support the implementation of M&E activities
of m2m Uganda, with the aim of monitoring and evaluating program performance,
improving quality of service delivery, and reporting program activities to m2m
donors and other key stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work in liaison
with the MEC and Program Coordinator to develop indicators, data
collection plans, and methodologies as part of the proposal development
process - Technically
support the implementation of m2m’s Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E)
plan at site level - Assist in data
entry including performing periodic data quality checks - Support the
implementation of routine site monitoring and reporting processes,
including supporting coordination of development of forms/tools for data
collection and reporting - Offer direct
mentorship, technical assistance, and formal training to program staff,
partners, and country staff on relevant M&E topics - Technically
support MEC with orientation, training and ongoing mentorship for Site
Coordinators, Mentor Mothers and HMIS focal persons at district level - Work closely with
the MEC to track, analyze, and report on long-term data trends in all m2m
programs - Technically
support the timely, complete and accurate collection of data from site
level, and reporting of data to the Country Office - Work with the MEC on
the production of performance and impact results reports for donors and
other stakeholders - Offer training and
on-going support to district HMIS focal persons/biostatisticians, and
field staff on M & E activities and processes to ensure quality and
timely documentation and reporting - Support the MEC to
coordinate compilation and dissemination of Annual and Quarterly reports
for the programs - Support the MEC to
ensure that donor, partner, and Senior Management data queries are
addressed in an accurate and timely manner - Support
documentation of lessons learned, reporting, and presentation within m2m
Uganda office. - Actively
participate in the implementation and evaluation of pilot projects,
operations research, and program evaluations as appropriate. - Support the
in-country M&E exercises for programs/ projects and impact assessments - Perform any other
related duties as assigned by the MEC or Program Coordinator
Skills and Experience:
- The applicants
should hold Bachelor’s Degrees in Epidemiology, demography, Biostatistics,
Public Health or related discipline. - At least three
years’ experience in NGO program monitoring and evaluation in the health
sector, experience with HIV/AIDS programmes preferred - Functional working
knowledge in the implementation and management of M&E systems,
involving capacity building for field staff, as well as monitoring and
promotion of data quality - Good computer
skills with work experience using MS Office applications, competence in
programming and analysis of data using programs such as STATA, Epi-lnfo
and others is an advantage - Good written and
verbal communications skills in English and in local languages are
preferred - Excellent
presentation, facilitation, interpersonal, communication skills and
collective problem-solving skills - Possess the
ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast- paced
environment, set priorities, work independently and in a team environment - Excellent
analytical and creative thinking with ability to work independently - Proven ability to work
as a team leader and as a team member with multidisciplinary teams
