Fund (NSSF) is a Provident Fund mandated to provide social security to its
members as prescribed by law under CAP 222 (Laws of Uganda) through efficient
management of members’ contributions. The NSSF asset base is currently over
Ugx. 4 trillion, making the Fund one of the largest players in Uganda’s
economy.
Fund (NSSF) is positioning itself to be the Social Security Provider of Choice
in Uganda. Our belief at the Fund is that each employee contributes directly to
the growth and success of the business and each employee is expected to take
pride in being a member of the team.
Information Technology Infrastructure Manager
will primarily oversee the Fund’s core IT systems and Networks,
including all hardware and operating environment, this includes communications
and branch infrastructure. He /she will also maintain the security of the Fund
systems and Networks.
- Manage
all server hardware /software and operating systems as well as Network
Infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime of core systems and applications. - Manage
the domain, internet, email and messaging systems ensuring necessary
security and integrity is adhered to. - Actively
participate in the planning and implementation of the Fund’s disaster
recovery plans for information systems as well as ensure they are fully
functional in times of disaster. - Develop
and implement new strategies that will enhance the performance of IMIS and
IT systems. - Work
closely with the database section, applications section, network section
to resolve any issues that arise in the system. - Analyze
new server hardware and software requirements recommend changes or
upgrades, develop and test deployment strategies and communicate
/co-ordinate deployments. - Develop
application policies, procedures and monitoring compliance. - Responsible
for the management reporting and execution reporting
- The
applicant should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology,
Computer Science, Information Systems Management or Engineering - A
minimum of three years’ experience in managing high end and high
performance I.T Infrastructure - Prior
experience in multi-platform technologies such as Microsoft, Linux and
Unix - Past
exposure and experience with storage systems and Disaster Recovery
Solutions - Previous
experience with both networking and Server technologies - Past
exposure and experience with leading innovation teams using new media
technologies. - Professional
Certification Microsoft and Unix Knowledge; MCCE, MCP, MCITP, SCSA. Linux
+ - Networking knowledge i.e. CCNA/P
- Storage
Infrastructure; Storage Certification i.e. NetApp, EMC, IBM,HP - Server
Hardware; A+ , SUN Certification, HP Certification
