Tanzania, Rwanda, South Sudan, Somalia and the DRC, dealing with sale and distribution of white oils (Diesel, Petrol & Kerosene), Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and our own brand of lubricants blended to world class standards.
Job Summary: The Senior Retail Accountant will be responsible for ensuring that accurate books of accounts are maintained for all retail stations in compliance with international accounting standards and HASS’s financial procedures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for timely and accurate review and posting of transactions into the system
- In charge of reconciliation of accounts as necessary
- Responsible for proper and timely reconciliation of inter‐ branch accounts
- In charge of consolidation of retail network financial statements
- Regular review of retail network customer accounts and other credit reports to ensure compliance and adherence to credit policy
- Render support in the preparation of statutory returns
- Compilation and submission of reports to management as requested from time to time
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must preferably hold a Degree in Accounting from a reputable university
- Professional qualifications in finance (CPA/ACCA finalist )
- At least five (5) years’ experience in a similar role
- Past exposure and experience working with Oracle ERP desirable
- Excellent command of Microsoft office suite
- Possess the ability to meet critical deadlines
- Good knowledge of local and regional tax laws and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
