Job Summary: The Procurement and Supply Chain Manager is responsible for providing and efficient and effective Procurement, Logistics and Supply Chain service to both front and back office functions. The job role requires strict adherence to the Company’s Procurement Policy, agreed Service Levels with all client departments, and with effective Supplier Relationship Management. The job role also requires strong budgetary control and value-for-money.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Logistics management – devices and accessories for sale;
- Procurement and supply chain management – office services;
- Effective supplier relationship management and enforcement of service level / maintenance agreements;
- Budgetary control and value for money;
- Taking leadership of the SC / Administration team;
- Development, updating, and training of clients on Procurement policy and procedures;
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate should hold a relevant University degree with good pass record – Procurement or Logistics degree an added advantage
- At least three years’ experience in the role, in a medium or large private sector company, one of which must be at supervisory level.
- Procurement certification (e.g. CIPS, CPM) an added advantage;
- Working knowledge of Customs / Import procedures and taxes;
- Computer literacy skills i.e. proficient use of Microsoft office products;
- Past experience of using computerized enterprise applications;
- Prior experience of supervising others;
- Project management experience an added advantage;
- Contract and SLA management;
- Excellent time management, organization, planning and prioritization.
- Innovative, results-focused self-starter;
- Good problem solving skills;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills;
- Skills in negotiation and influencing;
- Customer-service oriented;
- Ability to remain calm under pressure;
